I make enterprise technology actually land in customer organizations.

Thirty years from every seat in the room. Implementer at the dawn of SaaS. Co-founder of one of the early Salesforce field partners. Public-company CTO, buying partner motion.

The last year I’ve been building with Claude, testing what enterprise tech and services become when AI is part of the team.

The pattern across all of it: anything that scales scales because someone productized it. The work is always the same. Find the repeatable thing, encode it, hand it off.

Archway Ventures

Studio for projects and advisory work, exploring what’s possible when AI is part of how you build. Dropsignal and Bordmappe are working examples of work that historically would have required many teams over many years. Tasuki is the advisory brand for companies wanting to do the same.

  • Dropsignal: out-of-home advertising by monthly subscription. One ad for every item a business is selling, generated from its own website: the pipeline crawls the site, finds the inventory, and renders an ad per item into every DOOH format before delivering the campaign into the ad-tech stack. Each ad carries its own response keyword and destination, so response is attributable per item.
  • Bordmappe: digital service-history platform for enthusiast cars (starting with Porsche air-cooled). Owners upload receipts and photos; AI extracts, categorizes, and presents the full history as a shareable VIN-linked timeline. In MVP testing with the Bring a Trailer enthusiast community.
  • Tasuki: currently delivering selective advisory in enterprise AI deployment, PE diligence, and platform strategy for operating teams. Pre-launch on the broader practice; recruiting and certifying a founding team of consulting veterans.

EVP & CTO

Clear Channel Outdoor NYSE: CCO

Took a five-person technology team in an iHeartMedia subsidiary, at the time a Bain Capital and Thomas H. Lee Partners portfolio company. Operated as part of the executive team under private-equity ownership through the May 2019 separation that made CCO an independent publicly traded company. Grew the team to over 100; owned a ~$30M annual technology P&L across enterprise applications, infrastructure, cyber security, and platform engineering for programmatic and agency-buying. Much of the work was delivered through partner-led engagements.

  • Led the technology side of the iHeartMedia separation. Sponsors scoped the tech program at 36 months; partnered with Deloitte to ship it in 16, during COVID. Reduced iHM TSA fees from ~$445K/month to ~$41K/month (~$5M/year in run-rate savings) and replaced PeopleSoft with Workday Financials inside the same window (less than 12 months from board approval to live).
  • Organized the tech function around missions, not technology stacks. Six teams, each named for the outcome it owned rather than the function it performed. Operating cadence ran on team-level OKRs and KPIs across the missions.
  • Built and scaled the programmatic ad-tech platform that became CCO’s biggest revenue-enabling system, opening digital out-of-home inventory to agency-buying platforms and programmatic buyers. Real-time bidding service processed billions of ad requests annually at peak.
  • CEO-appointed to lead AI exploration across the company in 2023. Presented AI strategy to the board twice (October 2023 and October 2024): framework for evaluating opportunities, privacy posture, organizational readiness for early pilots.
  • Worked the major integrators and hyperscalers from the buyer side. Beyond Deloitte on the Workday program, engaged McKinsey on an enterprise cost-reduction program and TCS on offshoring the service desk to Mexico, later reshored. Ran a multi-cloud estate across AWS, GCP, and Azure with direct CTO-level account relationships at each.
  • Held full commercial authority over the $30M tech budget and its partner spend. Built the judgment for which partners ship customer outcomes versus look impressive on paper, including exiting brand-name partners mid-engagement when delivery faltered.

Principal

Christian Aaselund, Inc.

Independent advisory and implementation consulting for startups through large enterprises. Two anchor engagements defined the period:

  • Clear Channel Outdoor — interim VP of IT (2012). Managed the IT portfolio and a $7M annual budget. Rebuilt the IT-business relationship and salvaged a stalled Salesforce quoting project for a 600-person sales org. Engagement led directly into the full-time CTO role.
  • Ideal Network — acting CTO (2010–2011). Built the startup’s entire technology platform on Salesforce in six months. Invited to speak at Salesforce’s annual conference on the work.

Revived the Salesforce practice and trained the initial five junior consultants, growing SF services to 25% of office revenues. Joined specifically for big-firm delivery experience I hadn’t gotten building Acetta. Returned to independent practice the following year.

Co-Founder & Managing Director

Acetta

Co-founded and led a boutique business + technology consultancy specializing in enterprise CRM implementation across Onyx, Salesforce, and Microsoft. Grew to 30+ billable consultants in two offices, $3.5M annual revenues, 100+ clients across the US and Canada. Recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal as the 8th fastest-growing privately-held business in Washington (three-year revenue growth).

  • Multi-platform partner strategy. Established the Salesforce partnership specifically to reduce single-partner dependency on Onyx; the Salesforce practice ultimately delivered 150+ implementations.
  • The Regence Group: designed and led a CRM migration from Onyx to Salesforce for 2,000 sales and marketing professionals across four states; the client retained Acetta on the strength of the engagement, generating $7M+ in revenue from a single account.
  • Built Acetta’s process-improvement consulting practice, which grew to 30% of firm revenue and differentiated the firm from technology-centric competitors. The methodology that emerged from the work (Turning Point) became the firm’s signature framework.
